Product Dewspiption

The Meibao MQ40 Series Aluminum Alloy Air Operated Diaphragm Pump is a high-flow, heavy-duty fluid transfer solution engineered for demanding industrial applications. Powered by compressed air without electrical components, this pump is intrinsically safe for handling flammable and explosive media . Constructed with a lightweight aluminum alloy pump body, it offers an excellent balance of durability, portability, and corrosion resistance. Featuring a no-shaft-seal design, self-priming capability up to 7.6m, and the ability to run dry without damage, the MQ40 series ensures reliable, leak-free, and maintenance-friendly operation for chemical processing, electroplating, PCB manufacturing, and wastewater treatment applications .

Explosion-Proof Operation

Powered by compressed air without electricity, the pump is intrinsically safe and can transport flammable and explosive media .

Dry-Run Capable
The pneumatic diaphragm design allows the pump to run dry without damage to internal components, enhancing reliability .

Leak-Free Construction
No dynamic seals or impellers, minimizing the risk of leakage and reducing shear force on the fluid, preserving material integrity .
Corrosion-Resistant Materials

Wetted parts available in Polypropylene, Polyformaldehyde, and PVDF, offering superior resistance to aggressive acids, alkalis, and chemicals .

Lightweight & Durable Construction
Aluminum alloy pump body provides excellent corrosion resistance while significantly reducing weight compared to stainless steel or cast iron alternatives, making it easier to install and transport.

Typical Applications

Chemical Processing: Transfer of acids, alkalis, solvents, and aggressive chemicals .
Wastewater Treatment: Chemical dosing and sludge transfer.
Electroplating & Surface Treatment: Plating solution and chemical bath transfer.
PCB Manufacturing: Etching and developing solution transfer.

What is the maximum viscosity the MB pump can handle?
+
The MB magnetic drive pump is optimized for low-to-medium viscosity liquids (up to ~200 cPs at operating temperature). For high-viscosity media above 200 cPs, please contact our engineering team — we may recommend a reduced speed operation or a gear pump alternative.
Can the MB pump handle HF acid?
+
Yes. The MB pump with PTFE or PVDF wet-end is fully compatible with hydrofluoric acid at concentrations up to 50% and temperatures up to 80°C. PTFE offers the best HF resistance. For semiconductor-grade HF applications, we recommend our dedicated HF Series with ultra-pure material specifications.
What is the pump's NPSH requirement?
+
NPSH requirements vary by model and operating point. Typically, the MB series requires 2-3m NPSHa. We recommend ensuring the available NPSH (NPSHa) from your installation is at least 1m higher than the pump's required NPSHr. Full NPSH curves are available in the product datasheet.
Do you offer ATEX / explosion-proof versions?
+
Yes. ATEX Zone 1 and Zone 2 certified models are available for environments where flammable gases or vapors may be present. Please specify the ATEX zone and gas group (IIA, IIB, or IIC) when requesting a quote.
Can I get spare parts for this pump?
+
Yes. We stock a comprehensive range of spare parts for the MB series including magnet assemblies, impellers, shaft sleeves, and containment shells. Parts can be shipped within 5-10 working days to most destinations. We recommend ordering a spare parts kit with your initial order for critical applications.
