Causes: power failure, motor overload tripping, thermal protection activation, control circuit fault, or mechanical seizure. Solutions: check power supply, reset overload relay (after cooling), inspect control circuits, verify pump rotates freely, and investigate root cause of shutdown.

Solutions:
1) Identify scale composition (mineral, chemical deposit),
2) Use appropriate cleaning solution compatible with pump materials,
3) Circulate cleaning solution through pump if mild,
4) Disassemble and mechanically clean for heavy scaling,
5) Consider water treatment to prevent recurrence.
