Precision Chemical Delivery for Surface Finishing · Reliable Power for Coating and Electroplating Processes
The surface finishing industry—including electroplating, anodizing, electroless plating, phosphating, passivation, and coating—requires stable flow, precise chemical control, and excellent corrosion resistance.
For hard chromium plating, Meibao MB-F centrifugal pumps, MB-MD magnetic drive pumps, MV-S sump pumps, and MB-D metering pumps support bath circulation, filtration, and chemical replenishment. With PFA/PTFE linings or titanium/duplex stainless steel components, they provide reliable performance in highly corrosive chemicals and help reduce bath contamination and coating defects.
In aluminum anodizing, stable circulation and accurate dosing are essential for consistent oxide films and dyeing quality. At a South China aluminum extrusion facility, MB-MD pumps across 12 anodizing lines improved film uniformity from ±14% to ±5.5%, increased first-pass dyeing yield from 82% to 96%, and reduced dye consumption by 18%, saving over USD 110,000 annually. MB-D metering pumps provide ±0.5% dosing accuracy to maintain stable bath concentrations.
For phosphating, passivation, silane treatment, and paint shop circulation, liquids may contain abrasive particles, sludge, or high-viscosity solids. Meibao MV-S and MB-F pumps feature wear-resistant and anti-clogging designs for demanding conditions. In three automotive paint lines in East China, MB-F open-impeller pumps operated for 18 months with zero clogging incidents.
Semiconductor wet processes tolerate zero compromise
HF acid attacks metals, metal ions kill wafer yield, CMP slurry destroys seals, and ultra-pure water demands zero particle shedding. Conventional pumps fail on all four fronts.
Fluoroplastic Lining, Hydraulic Optimization, and Zero-Leakage Magnetic Drive
Meibao applies three core solutions against corrosion, abrasion, and emissions. MB-F Series uses 6.0 mm FEP/PFA fluoroplastic lining with Hastelloy C-276 shaft sleeves—only 0.02 mm/year corrosion at 80,000 ppm Cl⁻ and 65°C. MV-S Series optimizes impeller hydraulics with duplex stainless steel CD4MCu, extending MTBF to 18,500 hours in gypsum slurry. MB-MD Series adopts a fully sealed magnetic drive, achieving 0.000% leakage and ≥99.7% emission reduction for H₂S and VOC service.
MV-S vertical sump pumps and MB-F Series pumps are designed for solids-laden liquids, featuring open or semi-open impellers, 8–15 mm vane clearance, and solids passage up to 15 mm. CD4MCu duplex stainless steel or high-chromium cast iron options provide excellent wear resistance. After 15,000 hours of continuous testing in 6% solids phosphating solution, impeller wear remained below 1.2 mm, delivering an MTBF of up to 18,000 hours.
MB-D metering pumps combine VFD control, closed-loop stroke feedback, and pulsation damping to maintain dosing accuracy within ±0.3%, even under backpressure fluctuations. PTFE composite dual diaphragms and ceramic check valves provide reliable long-term operation. Bath concentration fluctuations were reduced from ±5% to ±1.2%, cutting additive consumption by 18%–25% and reducing plating thickness COV from over 8% to below 3%, with product yield reaching ≥97%.
